Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago Opens for Business

Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago is the world’s first Jesuit community college. Opened in August 2015 the college is named for former Jesuit superior general, Pedro Arrupe, S.J. The aim of the college is to provide a more affordable liberal arts education while using the same core curriculum offered at the university. Arrupe College has committed to helping 2,275 students earn associate’s degrees by 2025. Stephen Katsouros, S.J., is the college's dean and executive director.
